On Thursday, April 9, current and new supporters of Paws for Youth (formerly Gabriel’s Angels) gathered at the Orange Tree Resort in Scottsdale for an afternoon filled with connection, compassion, and a shared commitment to Arizona’s youth.
“Positive experiences, meaningful connections, and consistent support can profoundly change the trajectory of a young person’s life. That belief is what drew me to Paws for Youth, and it aligns deeply with the mission we carry at Adobe Mountain School; to provide the young people in our care with evidence-based rehabilitative services that enhance their well-being and equip them with the skills and resources they need to thrive as successful members of society.”

As our first event under our new name, Paws for Youth, the 2026 Unleash the Love fundraising celebration marked an exciting new chapter while honoring the heart of our mission: strengthening young lives through the human-animal bond. Guests had the chance to meet some of our therapy pets, hear powerful stories of impact, and discover meaningful ways to get involved.
From sponsors and volunteers to donors and community partners, the room was filled with people who believe in belonging and purpose. Together, we’re creating spaces where kids and teens feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.
“Many of the youths at Adobe Mountain School have had exceedingly difficult upbringings, where many did not truly have the opportunity to be kids. It had been so heartwarming to see the youth let down their walls and let out their inner-child.”

This work is only possible through the strength of our community. We are especially grateful to Pima Federal Credit Union, Alerus, Simplify Learning, Cardenas Markets Foundation, and Your Part-Time Controller for helping bring this event to life.
At Paws for Youth, we proudly advocate for our community, our partners, and the transformative power of the human-animal bond. Whether through volunteering, pet therapy, or partnership, each connection we build contributes to a stronger, healthier world. Thank you to everyone who helped us Unleash the Love!
“There are so many ways to be part of this mission… All it takes is a desire to make a difference. Mr. Rogers once said, ‘Look for the helpers’ and today, I invite you to recognize that YOU are the helpers.
When we change the life of one child, we create a ripple effect. It impacts their future, their relationships, and the communities they will help shape… Together, we are changing the trajectory of children’s lives, and there is nothing more important than that.”
